Catherine Green

Author of adult paranormal romance series The Redcliffe Novels, Catherine Green was raised on books from a young age, and has happy memories of Saturday mornings spent in her small local library, devouring the contents of the shelves. Aside from the Redcliffe novels, Catherine has short stories published in YA anthologies Devils, Demons and Werewolves, and The Mirador Fantasmagoria, and she writes articles for websites including Write and Share UK. Catherine is also a freelance copywriter and copy editor.

Catherine has always been fascinated by the supernatural world, and it feels natural for her to write about vampires, werewolves, witches and other mystical creatures in her stories. She is a mother of two (plus dog), with an interest in crafts and social history. Catherine practises Law of Attraction and truly believes that everyone can achieve their dreams if they can step beyond the fear of social conformity.

Energy Healing with Reiki

There is a lot to learn about energy healing. When I first began to explore holistic health and mindfulness about fifteen years ago, I found energy healing practitioners with all sorts of specialist systems. Some had developed their techniques using reiki practices combined with psychic guidance. Others developed more scientific methods, utilizing crystal technology, computer…

Imbolc Sunshine

This is the season of Imbolc, early February, when winter still holds the Earth captive, but Spring is beginning to awaken. I am delighted to find a large clump of beautiful snowdrops at the bottom of our garden, and more growing in other borders. We have a sprinkling of purple crocuses brightening the dull ground,…

I Want to Grow a Witchy Garden

When we moved house last summer, we inherited a fantastic large garden. It has established trees and shrubs, a rockery, a strawberry patch, and all sorts of other hidden delights that I am excited to discover as the season turns. We moved in June, during the summer heatwave, so most of the plants had already…

Missing the Moon

I’m a bad witch! I missed the January Supermoon a few days ago. I vaguely noticed that the moon was growing bigger, and I knew it would be full moon soon, but I hardly found time to appreciate it, and only learned afterwards that it was a supermoon. The energy of these lunar events can…

It is OK to Take a Break

This is the time of year when the world tells us that we must detox our bodies, refresh our minds, and do a million and one activities to care for ourselves. You know what I’m talking about: Dry January (no alcohol consumption for the month), Veganuary (a vegan diet for the month), gym membership, weight…

All We Have is Now

I am feeling a lot of emotion at the moment. You might have seen my previous blog post about the importance of precious memories, and perhaps you have followed my posts during the past few weeks as I experienced grief, and the stark contrast between life and death. On the pagan calendar, the wheel of…

Memories are Precious

Do you remember your happiest moments in life? What about your worst moments? Who stood by you during those times, experiencing both the joys and the sorrows? I can imagine that those answers vary greatly, and each provide our unique experience in life and death. Because that is the point of it all, isn’t it?…

Making the Most of Your Blog

I love my blog. I love writing articles, researching new topics, and sharing my perspective on subjects that matter to me. SpookyMrsGreen has evolved into the Pagan Housewife brand over the course of several years. It began as an author blog, started on the advice of my book publisher when I launched my debut novel….
