Catherine Green

Author of adult paranormal romance series The Redcliffe Novels, Catherine Green was raised on books from a young age, and has happy memories of Saturday mornings spent in her small local library, devouring the contents of the shelves. Aside from the Redcliffe novels, Catherine has short stories published in YA anthologies Devils, Demons and Werewolves, and The Mirador Fantasmagoria, and she writes articles for websites including Write and Share UK. Catherine is also a freelance copywriter and copy editor.

Catherine has always been fascinated by the supernatural world, and it feels natural for her to write about vampires, werewolves, witches and other mystical creatures in her stories. She is a mother of two (plus dog), with an interest in crafts and social history. Catherine practises Law of Attraction and truly believes that everyone can achieve their dreams if they can step beyond the fear of social conformity.

Shock and Sadness

Today I want to talk about grief. Perhaps it is because I am growing older, but death seems to be coming closer. I was very fortunate to have all four of my grandparents until my mid-thirties. I now have two grandparents surviving, but they are both old and ill. My aunts, uncles and cousins still…

My Boy, Baxter

My dog is the best! He is a cheeky, noisy, clumsy, adorable crossbreed, and he is our boy. Baxter is a rescue dog, and we believe he is Welsh, since he was found near Wrexham and taken to a local dogs’ home, before being transferred to a home in Stoke-on-Trent, which is where we found…

Finding My Way

This week I feel a little bit nostalgic, and rather reflective. I have been talking about my blog to a few writer friends, and that prompted me to look over some of my older blog posts, and spruce them up a little bit. It is interesting to see how my blog has evolved, and how…

Why Do I Feel Fragile?

This week I feel a bit strange. My mood has dipped, and while I expected to be happy about my children returning to school after the summer holiday, I actually feel deflated. Yes, I admit, I miss my darlings when they are at school. They might squabble and shout, but they are my girls, and…

Crystal Healing Therapy

My first exploration of mindfulness and meditation involved the use of crystals for healing therapy. Many years ago, I wandered into a beautiful angel themed holistic shop in Looe, Cornwall, and I bought the Crystal Bible by Judy Hall. I had previously bought a crystal healing starter set that included seven tumblestones to represent the…

What is the Pentagram?

When I first began to explore witchcraft and paganism, I came across a symbol that is widely used in jewellery, clothing and accessories. The pentagram is a five-pointed star that has come to represent the occult, or hidden world. Many people see the pentagram as something dark and dangerous, and they shy away from it,…

The Goddess Must Rest

I am tired. These past three months have been very challenging, and there is still more to come. Modern life is very stressful, and my family and I are currently preparing to move house, which is supposedly among one of the top most stressful activities that people do in the Western world. In fact, I…

Reiki Healing and Bereavement

It has been a very challenging and emotional month. Not only did we enter 2018 with the usual societal fanfare of optimism, high hopes and big dreams, but in my family, we were coping with bereavement whilst preparing for a seventh birthday. Oh, and the date is looming for my father-in-law to return home following…
