‘Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add but when there is nothing left to take away.’ – Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
It is beneficial to contemplate this quote, in order to realise that this is the intention of spiritual and meditational practice.
You know intuitively that when you meditate, you are not trying to get somewhere, or wanting to achieve something, but rather you are practicing to let go, to clear, and to cleanse, and to come back home to a sense of presence.
This presence enables you to embrace, or be in alignment with, cosmic intelligence, or it may help you to recognise the beauty in everything, that some people call the light, or God, or the Divine.
Your heart knows, and this realisation is the elevation of human consciousness. It’s not about thinking, it’s not about conceptualising, it’s just about being.
When we are who we are, we open up to reality, from within cosmic consciousness, and there are many things that get revealed, or channeled through. Even our brains can understand what is communicated, despite the limitations of thinking, and can understand in that moment, what it means to be in connection to consciousness, which is our birth right.
We’re not born with thoughts and feelings that get chaotic, or get caught up in all the challenges that we are sometimes so focused on, that we don’t see anything else. Our birth right is to bring attention inwards, so that we rediscover, or remember the light within.
You see, as we do this, thoughts dissolve, and they become just what they are, energies that are moving through you, not to hold you back, not to limit your spiritual practice, but rather just as part of the jigsaw puzzle, that is this incredible experience that is life.
Being present to the energy within, is no ordinary way of thinking. There’s no ordinary way of being, rather it’s a sense of presence that requires conscious awareness.
When we pay attention to inner presence, we are intuitively realising that we are part of existence in all dimensions, that this cosmic intelligence is not just inside of our brains, or our thinking process, or even our feelings, rather, it’s all around us, throughout the universe.
And so, when we get back in touch with something that is so very profound, it helps to transform everything, from the very basis of human senses, from the very simple living cell biochemistry, everything changes, because within us, within you, within me, within everyone, there is a boundless, unlimited potential, that is now taking form, as this manifestation of reality, that we call a human being, within this dimension.
This intelligence is always available to you, in everyday consciousness, in the mundane, in the material, through your body, through your thoughts, through your feelings, but the big picture is what is important.
You can be inspired, and you can help yourself to connect to a level of clarity by stepping back, tuning into that which cannot be seen when the eyes are busy looking, cannot be heard when the mind is busy trying to perceive things according to its manipulation, or system.
It cannot be understood without letting go, clearing, cleansing, and coming back to what I call this beautiful space, the heart.
Within the heart, there is a sensitivity, which can easily be overwhelmed, which can easily be caught in the mundane.
If our mind is too focused on problems, or issues, or the subtlety of information contained in the news and social media, and even in the world itself, it can bring us to a point where we forget this deep connection within our hearts.
We are so sensitive, yet we are out of touch with this sensitivity, and in many cases, we are afraid of this sensitivity, and because of this we lose our inner connection.
When this happens, we often see ourselves as separate, as struggling in a world that doesn’t understand us, that we are in a world that is not an easy place to exist in. We may perhaps feel very alone.
If this is how you feel, be truthful. If you feel separate, if you feel that those boundaries that are constantly created for a sense of safety, for a sense of nurture, are not there, and there is a sense of disappointment, then we are experiencing the world through a personal and insecure ego self, and we are not in touch with reality.
If this is your feeling right now in this moment, know that it’s the ego that is receiving that information, not you.
The ego is insecure, because it creates this personal thought construct, or idea, that’s very shallow, very conceptual, and very full of fiction, as it’s created by many experiences, by many ways of thinking, by systems and habits that you perhaps have created since childhood. It has no grounding in deeper, intuitively known, understood connections to Universal Consciousness, to the light inside of all of us.
Remember this when overwhelmed. Remember this when the mind is churning out this information that you are separate, that there is a problem, that there is pain that there is suffering.
It’s true on this level, of course, but it’s not true if we step back and look at the big picture, because each one of us is boundless, unlimited, and full of potential. And, that potential is being manifested in you, as a human being, here in this physical dimension, in your body, in the mitochondria, within your cells, and in the DNA. That potential is the cosmic intelligence, talking to you, communicating with you.
On this physical dimension, on a mental dimension, and on an emotional dimension, there is more happening than we can believe.
The system, or the manipulation that the mind believes us to be, creates this picture that we constantly try to live up to, but it’s not you. You are not your suffering. You are not your pain. You are not the separation. You are not the sense of sadness or unhappiness. That is not consciousness.
So, take a deep breath. And, knowing this, let go of all the thoughts and boundaries that create the sense of separation. Come back to presence, move your attention inwards and rediscover your connection.
