Raindrop Therapy for Lyme Disease

Teri DluznieskiAs a medicine person, I am a firm believer in synchronicity.  I remember once, someone noted to me:  if the universe is trying to get your attention, and you don’t hear it, it will just turn up the volume.  Reminds me of someone trying to drown out outside noise in some ways.  But in this case, it’s probably more a case of trying to be heard OVER the other noise. 😉 The universe was definitely poking me this past week.  A very pleasant albeit roundabout wow!

Anyway, a few weeks ago a woman wandered into my booth/stand at the Farmers Market.  I bring my massage table, which often makes for a comfy spot for people to perch.  Some desirable, others less so.  Sometimes there is a grey area where it is hard to discern  into which category people fall. This was decidedly the case with this woman.  I very often find people who are selling or promoting themselves, their business or modality. Sometimes I pray for the technology so Scottie can beam me up. 😉

This is particularly true with people who are new to healing work, and feel obliged and blessed with the capacity to heal the entire world with their newfound gifts/ power.  This is not an insult, all practitioners go through this neophyte phase.  I had my days of wanting to share and demonstrate my skills.  Wanting to make my bones, as they say. I suppose this has as much to do with giving, as it does with affirming to self and others, ones value and merit.  Producing tangible results confirms something that otherwise is very intangible and generally defies quantification.

Anyway- I have experienced this many times, particularly at the Farmer’s Markets, where I can readily become someone’s captive audience. Because of this, I tend to be a little wary every time someone walks in with some new modality or information.  So I spoke with this woman for about an hour or so, with this inkling building, as all the other vendors were busily packing up to leave, while we were still thoroughly and completely perched- despite a few subtle nudges regarding timing. Toward the end of the conversation we began to talk about Lyme disease, which I have not so peacefully co-existed with for many years. She began to tell me about Raindrop technique/ therapy treating it.  This was part of young living oils- which is a particular blend/technique of essential oils.

I have some familiarity with, albeit limited expertise, of essential oils.  I recall the healer I work with, noting that they were the most potent and effective way to bring healing directly into the cells/ cellular level. Based on this, I was moderately curious or, at the least, not dismissive. I did a little poking around online for base information. I popped an email off to my practitioner asking if she was familiar with the protocol.  Hart sent back that she had heard some good things about the technique.

Then two days later, I was at the other market where I am a vendor. One of my market-neighbors had asked me for information for her daughter.  Her daughter seemed to struggle with fibromyalgia, and/or some other conditions.  I am not certain on the specifics of the girl’s background, as she was not my client. I had made some suggestions around detox, diet-nutrition, that are base information type advice. The woman came by to tell me about how her daughter was doing so much better.  She had had a session of Raindrop therapy via a friend.  She had gone through a huge detox and cleanse/ purge as a result. Her pain was less, she slept soundly through the night for several nights, and her energy level had come way up.

Interesting.  I was now additionally curious. Sound basis, seal of approval from a deeply respected and trusted source.  And anecdotal corroboration. The practitioner, Sandi, happened to be in the area.  She has been traveling around, a home on wheels, RV.  Reminded me of growing up camping, and the gypsy- nomadic life. Nostalgia. 🙂 Sandi came by the market that afternoon.  We spoke for an hour or so.  And while there seemed to be a little sense of her being a marketing(?) rep for the company, she spoke with a good degree of authority/ expertise on various treatments and protocols.

We set up a trade agreement.  I did a Bowenwork session on her, and then she administered a raindrop therapy for me.  I definitely found it very relaxing and soothing.  It made me realise just how much I miss getting massage-work. the raindrop therapy consists of a series of essential oils applied onto the feet and along the spine.  If nothing else, the scents of the oils alone is worth the experience. I am probably going to purchase a set of the oils for the raindrop therapy.  If so, I will make a point not to finish the bottles, just so I can indulge in the aroma-therapy aspect.  Heavenly.

Driving, I was ravenously hungry, stopping for a slice of pizza en route. Probably not the optimally healthy food to eat, especially when I know that my body is going to want to detox etc.  but damn I was hungry!  I came home and had a huge bowl of leftover stir fry, with plenty of shiitake mushrooms in it, washed down with a big cup of chaga, and some mango-lemonade.

I curled up to digest, and within a very short time was out cold. I slept most of the afternoon, into the evening.  When I did wake up, it was absolutely by force.  I felt tired, drained and more sore than usual.  But I knew I had to bring the horses and goats in.  Once I got moving, I was a little less sore and the fog began to clear.  I had some good dinner, and more chaga to flush out toxins and bolster the body.

Have you used the young living oils, raindrop therapy technique, or other approaches for chronic conditions? – I would love to hear your input. Please share in the comments section.

Like water, when it does not flow, it stagnates and is not healthy. These techniques help your life to flow. I have been initiated into many of the ancient lineages and learned ceremonies, rites of passage and healing techniques.  I have worked as a healer and done workshops and taught some of these aspects – passing the teachings on.
