What the Medical and Baby Industry does NOT Want You to Know
Ease and simplicity are factors that feature high on our lists for living in the modern world. We go to the supermarket, pick up a pack of nappies or baby milk, pop it in the trolley and carry on with the weekly shopping. But you must ask yourself ; are you doing what is best for your baby? And the answer is almost certainly not.
Let’s start in this brief blog with the powdered versus Mother’s Milk debate. Hospitals are fought over by the baby food industry who are keen to get their product forced onto you from the moment your screaming little bundle starts to feed, working on the principal that once started you will stay with it.
But, are these powders safe? And the answer is that they are probably far from as safe as you think.
Are the machines used to produce the powder clean? And by that we ask, are they free from germs or toxic cleaning fluids.
The operatives may be fastidious in ensuring that every nook and cranny is swabbed down with whatever – toxic – chemical is used in the cleaning process ; but is that cleaning agent well rinsed out? (And do not forget that the water that comes out of the taps probably contains fluoride and aluminium, to mention just two « additives » put into our tap water, both of which are serious poisons and illegal in many countries, even in Europe.
The powder is then put into containers that are produced on industrial machines ; maybe an engine oil bottle was run before the baby feed container! And in that baby feed container, either plastic or metal, is likely be something called Bisphenol A (BPA), which according to Wikipedia is « identified (of) possible hazards to fetuses, infants, and young children ».
If you breast feed, according to research, your child will be more intelligent, happier and healthier – the latter by a very large margin.
According to WebMD, a most useful medical information site, « Breast milk provides the ideal nutrition for infants. It has a nearly perfect mix of vitamins, protein, and fat — everything your baby needs to grow. And it’s all provided in a form more easily digested than infant formula. Breast milk contains antibodies that help your baby fight off viruses and bacteria. Breastfeeding lowers your baby’s risk of having asthma or allergies. Plus, babies who are breastfed exclusively for the first 6 months, without any formula, have fewer ear infections, respiratory illnesses, and bouts of diarrhea. They also have fewer hospitalizations and trips to the doctor. Breastfeeding has been linked to higher IQ scores in later childhood in some studies. What’s more, the physical closeness, skin-to-skin touching, and eye contact all help your baby bond with you and feel secure. Breastfed infants are more likely to gain the right amount of weight as they grow rather than become overweight children. The American Academy of Pediatrics says breastfeeding also plays a role in the prevention of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). It’s been thought to lower the risk of diabetes, obesity, and certain cancers as well, but more research is needed. » Our investigations confirm that this supposition is correct.
Is there really a choice to be made?
