What Causes Suffering and How Can We Transcend It?
Suffering has been with humanity since humanity began I would suppose, and there has always been someone to help guide us, humans, through this nightmare, if we would only listen, observe and learn how to do it.
Gautam Siddhartha, better known as The Buddha, from India. devoted his life to helping people transcend their suffering 2,500 years ago. Kuan Yin of ancient China, also devoted her life in helping people appease their suffering. In the 19th century, Florence Nightingale, better known as the Lady With The Lamp, helped the war wounded of the Crimean war. Latterly, we had Mother Theresa who helped so many to ease their suffering. There are many more all over the world who are doing their best to help people in this respect.
The question is what is the reason people suffer? What can people do about it? And, why do they not do so?
I have been in the healing arts/profession for many years, and I have my ideas and opinions. My contribution has been in writing my books, but such books, mine and others, that can offer help in overcoming suffering are useless if there are no readers, no-one to take advantage of the incredible help that is being offered all over the world to anyone who is interested in improving their life. It seems that far too many people seek that magic pill, and refrain from doing the work on themselves.
To work on ourselves, we are first to have the intent, then to acquire the courage, and in order to accomplish this we are to release all those beliefs that lead us to erroneously perceive that we are not worthy, not good enough, and we do not deserve to be happy, well and prosperous. We are first to heal, release, change any belief that has been accepted by us (our sub-conscious mind) that limits us and our full expression of our authentic Self. This authentic self is much more than what you see in the mirror, and when you have gazed upon that beautiful soul behind the human mask you will understand that suffering can be overcome, and life can be a wonderful experience.
This is my quest, and I am doing quite well on my journey to Self-Discovery, and I invite you to join me, in sharing your insights.
