Anyone who watches television, knows how much the media – esp in this country– pushes such a deep fear factor into everything.. fear of “other” fear of failure.. fear of ridicule.. masked and couched in so many subtle ways.. but it still, most definitely pushes fear as a primary marketing and social message. totally sucks.. but I think of it as a crash course in evolution. Maybe this is a purge, an intense presentation that represents over a thousand years of intense religious-based fear mongering.. Hopefully one day, like an addict, people will start hitting the bottom and choose something else.. Maybe people need to go down that rabbit hole, in order to be certain there is nothing down there except more hole, and an eventual bottom… At which point- they will begin to climb back out. The interesting thing about the fear-hole.. no matter how far down, or how long one spends digging that tunnel… the way back out is always instant. Just letting go of fear, anger, envy, and negative emotions.. and the hole is gone. Poof! I suppose this could be a sort of quantum physics wormhole..??
And yes, animals do remain more true to their natures… although, perhaps we also are remaining true to our natures– and our natures ARE to sort of “shape shift” or experience a Shakespearean ”willing suspension of disbelief”.. in which we choose to forget, or pretend to forget.. so that we can play with all these different aspects of possibility, on the small-scale.. rather than at the higher planes of existence.. In that regard, I think of Life, on the physical plane of existence as a safe playground.. the place and time to make “mistakes”.. much the way we allow our children.. or we SHOULD allow our children, to make choices, see what is successful and what is not.. while the kinds of choices they make are not life-threatening.
Through all of this, I think animals remind us to be connected to the things we cannot see, hear, or feel with our known senses. How many people swear their pets are psychic, or have watched a pet do something that made them wonder if their pet saw/heard/knew things.. was tuned into something.. that we have mostly lost…?
I think that perhaps something begins as a morphic field, a consciousness.. evolves into identity.. and perhaps it matures into group souls and/ or collectives… where there is the individual, but there is also the larger awareness/connection.. like a psychic internet..
I do believe that a lot of our pets are simply vessels for higher beings to step in and guide us, lead us, support us as we find our way and our balance..
Thinking about animals and their intuitive gifts, and way of experiencing the world– reminds me of the people from South America, for whom the rivers still sing ( literally) and that all the things around them are their friends/playmates… they are never alone.. I don’t know if they have any concept of being alone- how amazing must that be? I imagine animals, being intuitively and psychically connected to.. everything.. also have that perspective. They must think it very strange to see/feel from our perspective… and wonder why we don’t just take off the silly “glasses” that keep us from seeing– so to speak. 🙂 I think this is part of what animals are here to help us do. Or rather– they are just here, doing their thing.. but while they are doing it.. they are also helping us.. and puzzling over us silly two-leggeds. 🙂
I imagine there are a ton of interesting stories that would reflect this aspect as well. Anyone out there have a story to share?
I am an Education Specialist, Health Coach and Author. I work with aspects of the teachings I have learned from Andean shamanic and cosmology, to health, nutrition and education. Everything is energy. Energy must flow. Like water, when it does not flow, it stagnates and is not healthy. These techniques help your life to flow. I have been initiated into many of the ancient lineages and learned ceremonies, rites of passage and healing techniques. I have worked as a healer and done workshops and taught some of these aspects – passing the teachings on.
