Karma Major Causes of Suffering
If we looked at all the possibilities of why people suffer, from birth until death, the biggest part of it is the Universal Law of Karma imposing the price we are to pay for past thoughts, words spoken and actions performed. However, this is not the entire story, because some souls actually choose a challenging path in order to achieve an accelerated progress in the evolution of their Soul. Similarly, a Tibetan monk may undergo certain privations in order to achieve a higher state of consciousness. To read the epic story of Gautama Siddhartha, otherwise known as The Buddha, will explain what I have just written. If one is to be of service to others it is necessary to know how they suffer to understand how you can help them, and even help yourself. Most who have been in service to others have a challenging story to tell. Look at Mother Teresa, how she chose to work in the Calcutta slums to help the needy. Her story is most inspiring.
What is important to know is that Karma does not make people suffer. People incur negative Karma by their own negative thoughts, negative speech, and negative actions, and so it is the people themselves who cause their own suffering. Alas! Most people are used to pointing the accusing finger at others, rather than accept responsibility for the reality they create for themselves. Each one of us has created the reality we experience, and continue to do so with every thought we have, every word we utter, and every action we perform.
This is exacerbated by those people who refuse to make internal positive changes, and even reject the concept of Karma. Such people are stuck in an evolutionary rut, repeating their attempts to learn their Life Lessons, and of course, they fail each time, providing them with the experience of continuing trials and tribulation. Obviously the more serious the crime of upsetting the balance of Creation with negative thoughts, words and actions, the greater the Karmic debt. It is all a matter of degrees. Cruelty to people and animals carries a really harsh penalty.
Sometimes, someone is purely the volunteer messenger to be the one to deliver the Karma you created for yourself. In such a circumstance, that volunteer may be absolved of any Karma, even though such a person may be vilified by others as the perpetrator. The truth is that The Divine I Am Presence of Creation is totally fair and is always in balance. When, we, puny humans, aspiring to higher levels of consciousness are out of balance, which is much of the time, we pay the price, and we suffer.
There is an excellent book, entitled, Anna, Grandmother of Jesus, written by Claire Heartsong, which tells the story of Anna, who was a great healer, and she was approached by a hunchback cripple, who begged her to heal him. After a while she relented and healed him, and he lost the hunch back, now standing tall and handsome. He then went straight to his brother’s house and stole his brother’s wife. Anna was remorseful, because she realized her error and the damage she caused by her intervention. She healed the cripple without him first learning his Life Lesson, and so, now healed, he created further harm, and no doubt his future Karma will be devastating, and this is a lesson well worth understanding.
If we do not learn our Life Lessons, we are bound to repeat the actions that created our Karma, which will be intensified considerably. We do not play around with negative Karma, for it is a deadly force to contemplate. It may not kill you, because suffering is the currency it trades in, until you learn that Life Lesson, or Life Lessons.
There are three basic groups most people fall in;
- Those who know about Karma
- Those who do not know about Karma
- Those who do not care to know about Karma
Ignorance of Karma does not affect the reality of its ability to exact justice, anywhere, anytime. In other words, ignorance is definitely not bliss. Just because you may not believe in Karma bears no relation to its existence, or its exacting effects it has on us all. Most people have no idea what is going on in the world, other than what they see on the news, which is mostly fake. They do not know about other Extra-Terrestrial Beings who live in our Galaxy, they do not know about the Akashic Records, which is an Ethereal Library in the Akasha (Ether), which contains all that has ever been, all that is, and all that will ever be, for every being in the Universe. In other words, most people have much to learn, if they so choose.
Let us, therefore, learn what we can to help ourselves expand our Conscious Awareness and Raise our Consciousness, and in this way, we will also learn about Karma and its virtues. In this way, we will have the opportunity to avoid creating more negative karma, and experiencing its effects.
