May 2018 Tarot Reading

Welcome to this month’s general card reading. I hope that it will resonate with those of you who read it and you will find it helpful.

Cards duplicated:

March and May – Devil and Ace of Wands

April and May – 6 of Swords, Death and 4 of Swords

We might have relaxed a bit in April regarding cleaning up our act, dealing with habits that we should have addressed and also pursuing our imagination and giving it free reign.  However, that has all come back to be paid attention to now that May has arrived.

Learning spiritual lessons, taking time to ourselves and the opportunity of a new way of life showed up for us last month and that energy is still here with us this month.  This is an important time in our lives.

As we start off this month we are being encouraged not to give up, even though the going might get tough at times.  We do need to let go of things in our lives which no longer serve us.  This is more about habits that bring us down, either physically, mentally or emotionally.  What we give up is entirely by our own choice – other people’s opinions aren’t important.  We are unlikely to stick with anything unless we want it for ourselves anyway.

The first part of May we are going to learn some new spiritual lessons which will enable us to come out of difficult situations with dignity and understanding.  These lessons will highlight our empathy with others and we will find we become less reactive in the face of other people’s emotional outbursts, if we heed the lessons being taught that is.  We never know why someone might be angry for instance – just because it is directed at us in the moment, it doesn’t necessarily mean that we are the cause of it.  Understanding this will enable us to deal with uncomfortable situations much more sensitively.  As with last month, we are being encouraged to let go of some outdated things in our lives in order to embrace a new way of life which is being offered.  It is time for change.

In the middle part of the month we will have a strong feeling of restlessness.  We will know that we can do more with our lives, but all the pieces aren’t yet in place and we will likely feel tethered and held back.  For some of us that can come with a feeling of being betrayed and abandoned.  We might want to lash out and chuck everything away, but if we can just hold our horses for a while and not act in haste (and repent at leisure) a more suitable time will appear.  If we look at our situation we will find that not everything is lost, we have learned valuable lessons which we can carry forward.  It’s a lesson in not cutting off our noses to spite our faces!

Towards the end of May it will be very important to take some time to ourselves.  A time to reflect and/or meditate.  We need to search for our own true feelings about our circumstances and we can’t do that effectively if other people are giving their opinions.  However much someone loves us, they can’t truly know what is best for us – their own agendas will invariably get mixed into their advice.  Even if it’s a case of some of us having addictive behaviour – smoking, drinking, gambling etc., and the people who love us are trying to help us recover our physical/mental health.  The fact remains, as mentioned earlier in the reading, that unless we ourselves want that change, for valid reasons that motivate and drive us on a personal level, we are never going to successfully make massive changes to our lives because someone else wants us to.  That would always ultimately be their agenda and not ours.

As we come to the end of the month it is likely that some of us will meet a new person who will either become a love interest or a business partner.  This won’t be someone that we will have known well previously, if at all.  The journey of getting to know another person on a deeper level will start.

Our luck throughout the month is balance and harmony within relationships.  Whatever day to day events might occur, we must try and not let friction and arguments rule the day.  If it is our intent to have harmonious and peaceful relationships with people, that is the energy we will be putting out and that is what we will attract.

I hope you enjoy the month of May – a lot of good things can happen for us all.
