January, February and March – 8 of Wands
Amazingly, the positive energy of the 8 of Wands has remained with us throughout 2018 so far. The feelings of anxiety and tension we were experiencing during 2017 are gradually being left behind and some smooth sailing and uplifting energy is ahead. Possible travel is indicated with this card too and there is a real feeling of expansiveness in the air.
As we start off this month, as mentioned above, things feel much more positive moving forward and we can look forward to pleasanter times ahead.
The first part of March heralds a need to expand our lives – whether it means changing jobs, relationships or moving house, we are likely to feel that we have outlived our current circumstances and need to try something new and exciting. We will also be in the right frame of mind to make willing sacrifices of some things in our lives in order to embrace something else which is more challenging and possibly out of our comfort zones.
In the middle part of the month we will feel the need to change things about ourselves which are no longer working for us. This can be something like changing our diet to a healthier one, taking up exercise, being more disciplined or even overcoming negative self-talk. What is important is that we only change what we feel is necessary for our own development – other people’s opinions about what we need to change are irrelevant. This is about us and not them. There will also be money and resources coming our way – though a fair amount of work will be necessary for that to happen. Unfortunately it’s not a lottery win!
Towards the end of March we are going to find that our intuition is getting sharper and we will be much more in tune with what is happening around us. Allied to this is a feeling of trying to keep our balance on shifting sands, which can be very unsettling for those amongst us that value control. The more we rely on our intuition, the more we realise that anything can happen, but that we will be guided to what is best for us. We are also going to be extremely curious about situations in our lives and will be opening up to thinking about things in a completely new way. When we are in this semi-vulnerable and changing state, it is best to keep our own counsel and not tell all and sundry what our plans are – only confide in the people that need to know. This is especially important while we are in such a highly intuitive state as circumstances can change quickly and we will potentially end up having to eat our words. It is also advisable to keep well clear of people that like to gossip as we could easily get embroiled in misunderstandings at this time.
As we come to the end of the month it is time to take stock and look to our homes. Are we putting enough energy into making sure it is warm, comfortable and has everything we need? Some of us could find that we are attracting people who need our help, a listening ear, some advice or maybe just a place to feel safe and secure – a haven in their own chaotic lives.
Our luck throughout the month is the energy of our imagination. We need to let our minds wander and feed the fire of our creativity. We are unlikely to know exactly where we are going with it and what our final destination will be, but we will be planting the seeds and the foundations of our future lives by creating them in our minds and imagination at this time – the sky’s the limit!
